"When He Knows, He Knows" -Ruth & Victor's Love Story

Ruth and Victor love story is pretty rare and romantic seeing that the couple married each other within 3 months of their meeting. We guess that when a man knows, there's no wasting time if the woman is also game.

Ruth's Story:

Victor and I met during the holidays in August 2013. We got talking and I discovered we had lots of mutual friends. Literally the next day he said he wanted to marry me hmmmm lol..

I was surprised and asked him," Just like that????",  to which he said yes. He was really genuine and told me, "I don't want to play games with you, I just know you are my wife."

Still surprised as to how he could be so sure, I told him to give me time to think about it...
Can you believe that he went behind my back and took the proposal to my family.

I had no clue! It was when my brother suddenly called and told me that someone came to the house to tell the family that he wanted to marry me that I found out his plan.

My brother seemed to like Victor because he told me that I should marry him and that his spirit tells him that he is a good man.

Victor called me to inform me that he was still waiting for my answer. I found the whole thing funny and I asked him to wait till I got back to school.
 When I finally returned everyone at home was noticing that he was calling often. My mum asked whom he was I said some guy I don't want to marry..lol.  She said hmmn think again..

And somehow I started growing some butterflies in my tummy for him, started looking forward to his calls. By the 30th of August he had paid me a visit in Lagos and I had also traveled from Benin Republic to see him.

I noticed how serious he was about us getting married, he had taken me on a date and lo and behold he also took me to his parents unannounced and said this is "she" I told you about.  I was just lost standing there because oops I hadn't even given an answer to his proposal.

I had no butterflies but I just had so much peace inside of me. During the visit we went to his lodge and he handed me one of my most beautiful handbag I had seen. He asked me to open it and I found lots of other things inside, he then asked me to take another look into the bag. This time I found a small case. As I tried to open it he ran into the bathroom and shut the door.

I went ahead and opened it, and say a message that read, "Will you now marry me?"

Deep down I already knew my answer. I slide the ring on it was my perfect size. I couldn't see why he would run away, I begged him to open the door and I said yes to him. He was so shy and scared  as he thought that I would say no. He explained that that was the reason he ran. I just laughed.

And so the journey began. On the 7th of October we had a court wedding and our Traditional Wedding took place in November and our White wedding followed in December.
